Hours: Monday –Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
# Hrs. /Wk.: 10 – 20 hours per week
Job Description: Assist students in understanding math principles; provide study tips/examples of similar problems. Tutors are especially needed in Algebra I and II, College Algebra, Statistics, and Calculus I in the above-mentioned hours. Students do not need to have completed upper-level math courses to apply.
Job Requirements: Grades of A or B in the math courses in which you are tutoring. Overall GPA of 3.0. Registered for at least 6 credits during spring semester. Most recent FAFSA must be completed (but you need not be work study eligible). Applicants will also need a strong recommendation from faculty in subject area.
Students who are qualified in the above-mentioned courses are not required to remember all coursework. Tutors will have the assistance of professional tutors and access to text resources. Tutors are expected to demonstrate to students
how to find the answers

Other requirements: dependable; effective speaking and listening skills; English language proficiency; able to work with diverse student population; casual appropriate dress; paid tutor training is required and will be provided.
